Resumen

El sector agroalimentario es una de las áreas de especialización clave de la Estrategia de Investigación e Innovación para una Especialización Inteligente de la Región de Murcia (RIS3Mur). La importancia estratégica en la economía regional de las actividades de este sector, así como aquellas íntimamente relacionadas con su
cadena de valor, aconsejan realizar un seguimiento continuado del mismo y apoyar su desarrollo. El estudio presentado en este trabajo analiza los efectos de la estrategia empresarial sobre la competitividad de las empresas del sector agroalimentario a través del impulso de la innovación empresarial.
Para alcanzar este objetivo, se presentan los resultados de una amplia muestra de empresas del sector que reflejan las relaciones existentes entre la orientación estratégica de la empresa, los tipos de innovación, la sostenibilidad y los resultados organizativos.
